Ingredients:

  • 600g medium red tomatoes, quartered
  • 118ml tomato juice
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 57g celery, chopped
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Take each tomato and evenly cut into quarters and place in a container and allow the tomatoes to rest in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  2. In a blender add the following ingredients; quartered tomato pieces, tomato juice, black pepper, salt, celery, carrots and blend until the mixture becomes smooth.
  3. Remove the lid and add in the lemon juice and ice cubes. Blend for couple more seconds until the mixture has combined.

Serve cold in your favourite glass.

Ingredients:

  • 450g ripe tomatoes
  • 1 green apple
  • 57g celery stick
  • Small piece of ginger
  • Ice cubes

Method:

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 5 red medium tomatoes
  • 118ml milk
  • 118ml condensed milk
  • 100g sugar 
  • Ice cubes

Method:

  1. Place the tomatoes in a medium pan of heated water until the skin becomes soft.
  2. Peel the skin and remove the seeds from the tomatoes.
  3. Place the prepared tomatoes in a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Now, add the milk and condensed milk followed by the sugar and ice cubes.
  5. Blend the mixture one more time until it becomes your desired consistency.
  6. Leave in the fridge for a few hours to allow the mixture to chill.

The milkshake will be ready to serve, remember to serve it chill.

Spicy Tomato Juice

Ingredients:

  • 200ml tomato juice
  • 40ml lemon juice
  • 20ml lime juice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 celery stalks (to serve)
  • Few drops extra hot chilli sauce 
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Method:

  1. In a mixing glass add in all the ingredients apart from the extra hot chilli sauce, salt and pepper.
  2. After stiring the mixture, add 2 drops if chilli sauce and taste and adjust.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste and stir the mixture gently until all the ingredients become combined.

Serve with 2 celery stalks and make sure the drink is chilled.

The great thing about tomato is there are different types, for this recipe you will need the sweetest variety of tomatoes which is known as Rosada or plum tomatoes.

They are small like plums but not completely round and are bright red in colour. The juice of this tomato is very key to this slushie recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 200ml (Rosada) plum tomato juice
  • 100ml sweet carrot juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 20ml sugar syrup
  • Crushed ice

Method:

  1. Fill half of the blender with crushed ice and add the plum tomato juice and sweet carrot juice. Blend the mixture until smooth.
  2. Add the sweet syrup and some more ice and blend.
  3. Pour the mixture into a glass, add salt and pepper and stir through

Serve ice cold. To spice it up,  add some half a green chilli to the mixture. 

Tomato Mint Juice

  • 6 medium tomatoes 
  • Fresh mint leaves, chopped, 
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Crushed walnuts 

Method:

  1. In a blender place mint leaves and the tomatoes. Make sure the tomatoes are quartered.
  2. Blend the mixture until smooth, add black pepper to taste and add the crushed walnuts.
  3. Blend the mixture one more time until all the ingredients have combined and smooth.

Serve chilled, add crushed ice if you wish.
